Pirates of the Caribbean to be closed for the day on October 9
Aug 7th 2012 at 7:28Pirates of the Caribbean at the Magic Kingdom has been scheduled to close for a single day on October 9 2012. Disney have, in recent weeks been doing work on the queue area (without closing the ride). It's expected that this is part of the 'NextGen' system planned to be released across the parks. The single day closure could be the final step in getting the ride compatible with the NextGen system.
