Disney Imagineer Theron Skees announced as Disney Springs project leader

Disney have announced that Imagineer Theron Skees will take the roll of project leader for the upcoming Disney Springs project. 

Skees has been with Disney since 1991 and started as a field art director on Pirates of the Caribbean for Disneyland Paris. He became an Imagineer in 1997, and has since worked on numerous projects at Walt Disney World such as the Tower of Terror v4 upgrades. Since then he has worked on the opening of Hong Kong Disneyland.

I really love the new project I’m working on, Disney Springs. It’s truly a combination of everything I’ve learned over my 15-year career at Imagineering. Disney Springs is urban design at its best – it will double the number of shops, restaurants and other venues for guests to explore, and we are very excited about it.
