Animal Kingdom Food and Beverages changes start today

Aug 4th 2013 at 8:27

We recently reported some changes coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom, in the form of a dining shake up that will remove items not considered to be a snack, from the snack locations. Instead those items would be offered only at Quick Service restaurants.

Today those changes come into effect. Starting today things like Turkey Legs and Snow Cones will no longer be found at snack kiosks. Here's a run down of some of the changes we know to be happening, courtesy of Orlando Park News:

  • Turkey Legs will be moved from Trilo-Bites to the FlameTree Barbecue.
  • Specialty Deserts are now offered at Trilo-Bites instead, and will offer both Strawberries & Waffles and Baked Apple Crisp with Ice Cream.
  • Mr. Kamal's snack kiosk (on the walkway between Africa and Asia) has a new menu with an Asian theme and vegetarian options.
  • TamuTamu Refreshments no longer serves breakfast.
  • The Bradley Falls Kiosk (also on the Africa and Asia walkway) is closed permanently, with its vegetarian meal options now being served at Mr. Kamal's.
  • The Garden Kiosk sells pre-packed foods for guests with food allergies and intolerances. An information stand is also now open where guests can get information on the foods offered around the park.

We're still waiting for Disney to release new menus for Mr. Kamal's and the Garden Kiosk, and will update our dining section once we have more details.
