Animal Kingdom's Harambe Nights now fully sold out

Jul 23rd 2014 at 8:57

The special summer event, Harambe Nights at Disney's Animal Kingdom has now completely sold out.

Tickets for the limited-time event finally sold out over the weekend. We tracked the ticket sales as reservations became available and many dates sold out early on. The last few remaining tickets were snapped up earlier this week.

Disney haven't yet confirmed if the Harambe Nights event will be extended or repeated. Several experiments and ideas seem to be in the works to increase evening event options at Disney's Animal Kingdom, which traditionally closes early when compared to the rest of the parks. The biggest issue at the park is that the animals aren't able to be kept in public spaces at night, and things such as fireworks would never be a long-term option. Events like Harambe Nights provide an ideal balance between evening entertainment, and ensuring the Animals are well cared for.

It's expected that Disney will trial a few other evening entertainment options, possibly in unannounced small one-time tests. Harambe Nights may become an annual event, with several other evening events also being introduced as annual events for other periods of the year.
