Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort Recreation

Due to the resort's large size, it has six heated pools on site located throughout the island villages. The main pool complex at Old Port Royale has a colonial spanish theme and boasts two water slides, zero-depth-entry, water cannons and two 12-person hot tubs. There is also a water player area next to the pool for the kids.

The other pools are all of a reasonable size and are considered to be 'quiet pools'. The pools are all open from 8am - Midnight with a lifeguard present between 10am and 10pm.

Note that you will need to bring your towels from your room - if you need additional towels you can call  housekeeping from your room phone (free) and they will bring them to your room for you.

The Old Port Royale complex contains an arcade, Goombay Games Arcade, with state of the art video games. It is open from 7am to 1am and uses a token system to use the arcade attractions. Guests can purchase tokens in the arcade. Some arcade games provide rewards in the form of tickets which can be redeemed for prizes.

There is also a children's playground located on Caribbean Cay Island.

Other on-site recreation includes bike rental, a jogging trail, volleyball courts and watercraft rentals.

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort Transport

The resort has its own bus service to get around the resort due to its large size. This is in addition to the standard Disney bus service. It doesn't share its bus route with any other resorts, so if you board a bus heading for Magic Kingdom, it'll only be stopping along the Caribbean Beach stops, then it'll go directly to the Magic Kingdom.

Busses operate from one hour prior to park opening hours and then for one hour after the parks close. Downtown Disney busses run until 2:00 AM.

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort Dining

There are two restaurants at the Caribbean Beach Resort:

- Old Port Royal Food Court is a counter service location with six stations offering a great selection of foods. Menu items include broiled chicken, pizza, baked goods, ice cream, fresh fruit, salads, burgers, deli sandwiches, breakfast items, pastas and many other items. The six stations are; Grab 'n Go Market, Royale Pizza & Pasta Shop, Old Port Royale Hamburger Shop, Bridgetown Broiler and Montego's Deli.

- Shutters at Old Port Royale is a table-service location open for dinner, with Caribbean cuisine such as red snapper, pineapple-marinated chicken, smoked prime ribs and pork ribs. Deserts change seasonally but do feature traditional items available year round, such as the key lime tart.

An in-room-dining service is also offered in the form of Bluerunner Pizza, offering 16" pizzas in either cheese, pepperoni or supreme. They also offer buckets of chicken, soft drinks, beer and wine. This can be ordered from room service and is open from 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM daily.
