New 'Glow With the Show' Ears coming to Walt Disney World soon

From October 15 Disney will be selling new color-changing "Glow with the Show" ears during events.

The Disney Parks Blog made the announcement, after Disneyland Resort started offering them last summer, and guests loved them.

The Mickey Ear Hats will first be sold at Fantasmic! on October 15 (which is also Fantasmic's 15th Anniversary). They will then be sold during "Celebrate the Magic" and Wishes from October 19, and throughout the holiday season. Here's what the Disney Parks Blog had to say about them:

Beginning on October 19, “Glow with the Show” Ears will become part of “Wishes” fireworks and the “Celebrate the Magic” nighttime projection show at Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom Park. And during the holiday season, be sure to wear your Ears for special surprises during The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights and performances of “Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season.”

As Erin has shared with Disney Parks Blog readers, “Glow with the Show” Ear Hats employ leading edge technology to light up and synchronize with each entertainment experience in amazing and dazzling new ways, making members of the audience an integral part of the show.

From the sounds of it, Disney plan to make use of the ears along with it's GPS technology to create new experiences within events, a first for Disney Parks.
