An unofficial Walt Disney World news and trip planning guide!

Tomorrowland - Magic Kingdom

Tomorrowland is located over in the east of the park. Its often thought that this is the quietest land to visit in the morning, and it’s somewhat true as most people will turn left at the end of Main Street, USA. If you turn right, you enter right into Tomorrowland.

Tomorrowland’s theme is the future, more specifically a Sci-Fi based future, as described in 1920/1930 novels. It’s seen as a ‘retro’ style of the future, however a lot of this is due to the land being somewhat neglected in more recent years.

Despite this, Tomorrowland has some of the best attractions in the park, such as Space Mountain, the indoor cosmic rollercoaster, which can be seen from miles around and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, an intergalactic, interactive adventure featuring Buzz himself!

Tomorrowland also hosts some of Disney’s classic attractions, such as Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress, developed by Walt Disney himself for the 1964 Wold’s Fair, in addition to the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, a leisurely tour of Tomorrowland above the crowds, powered by a futuristic magnetic track.

There is only one primary restaurant in Tomorrowland; Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café, offering a huge selection at three different ‘stations’ (Starlight Soup-Salad-Sandwich, Cosmic Chicken and Blast – off Burger), however there is also The Lunching Pad and Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies, which both offer a range of snacks.

Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station is another restaurant in Tomorrowland, and despite being listed as ‘Open Seasonally’, the restaurant very rarely opens.

Retail wise, there are four shops in Tomorrowland; Mickey’s Star Traders, Merchant of Venus, Racing Specialties Cart and Tomorrowland Video Arcade.
