The Gran Fiesta Tour replaced the old Mexico boat ride, El Rio del Tiempo. The new version adds animation via large screens along the sides of the ride and features Donal Duck, José Carioca and Panchito (an avian singing group from the 1944 Disney film, The Three Caballeros).
The ride was redeveloped as it was often criticised as being "it's a small world" with a mexican theme. The new ride follows the story that The Three Caballeros are scheduled to perform at a Mexican fiesta, but Donald is missing. You see Donald enjoying himself around Mexico's landmarks while José and Panchito are going crazy trying to find him.
Luckily everyone is reunited in time for the fiesta, which you get to see at the end of the ride.
Most of the ride's visuals are on the left of your boat, so seat the kids so they get a good view!
