Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend

The Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend takes place every February, and celebrates women's health and fitness. The marathon started in 2009 and with over 13,000 competitors, was a huge success.

There are several events over the course of the weekend:

The Disney Princess Half Marathon 

Date: Sunday, February 24, 2013 at 5:35 am

The race is a total of 13.1 miles long, and follows the same route as the half-marathon that's held during the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend in January, starting at Epcot, then up to the Magic Kingdom, and back to Epcot again.

The marathon includes entertainment along the course as well as refreshments. Transportation is provided from the event host resorts.

Participants in the marathon receive the following:

• 5th Anniversary Commemorative Finisher medal
• Official Race Program Guide
• A one-year subscription to 'REDBOOK'

Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Royal Family 5K

Date: Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 6:30 am

A 5 kilometer (3.1 mile) family run around Epcot, this is exactly the same route offered during the 5K family run in January's  Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, and offers a stroller walk division for those who wish to walk the track with children in a stroller.

Participants in the 5K marathon will receive:

• 5K T-Shirt (Unisex cut)

• On-course and post-race refreshments

runDisney Kids Races

Date: Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 10:00 am

Much like the runDisney Kids Races held during January's Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, this set of kids races is held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Track and Field Complex and allows children aged 13 and under to participate in their own miniature marathons. The distance of the kids 'dash' depends on the age of each child:

• 12 months and under - Diaper Dash for crawlers
• 1-3 years old - 100m dash
• 4-6 years old - 200m dash
• 7-8 years old - 400m dash
• Under 13 - 1-Mile run 

Each participant in the Kids Dashes will recieve:

• runDisney Kids Races T-shirt
• Finisher medallion
• Goody bag
• Personalized bib
• Post-race refreshments

Each participant in the 1-Mile run will recive:

Disney's Fit For A Princess Expo

Date:

• Friday, February 22, 2013 at 9:00 am - 7:00 pm
• Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

A two-day expo held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, providing all the information on what's happening over the weekend, as well as several speaker series with celebrity runners and seminars on training, racing and nutrition. Guests can also pick up their official race number and packet here.

As part of the expo, there are exhibits with merchandise offerings including fitness equipment, clothing, gadgets, etc.

Pasta in the Park Party

Date: Friday, February 22, 2013 at 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Pasta in the Park Party is an evening event held for those attending any of the marathons. Guests attend a Buffet Dinner from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Epcot, followed by a live DJ, and a reserved viewing area for IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth.

Menu items at the Pasta in the Park Party Buffet Dinner include:

• Mixed Greens with Lite Vinaigrette and Cucumber Yogurt Dressing
• Herb Roasted Chicken

Race Retreat

• 3:00 am - 5:30 am (runners only)
• 5:30 am - 10:30 am (runners and Platinum ChEAR Squad only)

Race Retreat allows you to experience the races as a VIP, offering amenities for runners and their family. The package includes:

Pricing for the Race Retreat is $99 for participants in the Disney's Princess Half Marathon.

Disney's Princess Half Marathon Weekend Breakfast

Date: Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 7:15 am - 9:00 am

A fun-filled breakfast located at Epcot's Family Reunion area. Disney characters are present during this breakfast buffet, offering a selection of the following items:

• Fresh Fruit Salad with Berries and Honey Yogurt Dip
• Four Cheese Quiche with Garden Peas
• Baked Cinnamon French Toast Sticks with Warm Maple Syrup
• House made Egg and Cheese Breakfast Burrito, served with Salsa
• Pork Sausage Links
• Fruit Bread, Rolls and Butter
• Orange Juice, Teas and Coffees
