Entire Monorail closed due to a power failure
Dec 11th 2012 at 16:45The Walt Disney World Monorail system is suffering a major outage today, caused by a power failure.
The Epcot Beam, Resort Beam and Express Beam have all been down since the early hours of this morning and are still down now, with no estimate as to when service will resume.
Disney have laid on extra bus and boat services to help take up some of the lost capacity today, however expect some trips to be longer, and the Magic Kingdom Ferry to be rather busy.
Guests staying at a Monorail resort should use the bus service, or the provided footpaths to get to the Magic Kingdom and the Transportation and Ticket Center.
