Jabba the Hutt's pet rancor to appear at Star Wars Weekend's 2013

After our round up of celebrities to appear at this years Star Wars Weekend's yesterday, Disney have announced that Jabba the Hutt's pet rancor will be making an appearance, along with other behind the scenes with the Star Wars characters.

The giant, life-sized rancor from Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi will be on display during the event. It is a handmade replica, at 17 feet long and at over 700 pounds in weight. 

In addition to this, a trio of specialty "one man shows" will be providing guests with a unique look into the on and off screen worlds of three Star Wars celebrities; James Arnold Taylor, Warwick Davis and Ray Park.

• Obi-Wan & Beyond: James Arnold Taylor takes audiences on a journey into his wonderful world of voice acting (on each event day)
• Visit to the Maul: Ray Park demonstrates his amazing martial arts skills that made Darth Maul a hit in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. (Weekends 1 and 2)
• An Ewok's Tale - my short story: Warwick Davis provides a unique look into the legends of Star Wars. (Weekends 2 and 3)

Disney have noted that they expect these three events to fill up very quickly, so be sure to arrive early to the park for a chance to grab an autograph!
