Parking changes at Downtown Disney

As part of the new Disney Springs projects, a number of changes will be happening to the parking arrangements at Downtown Disney.

We announced last week that Parking Lot 'H' had been closed to guests. Orlando Park News now reports that car parks H through to K will be closed from July 22, 2013 for work to begin on the new West Garage multi-story car park. 

As part of this, Disney have come up with a plan to ease parking troubles whilst this work is carried out. Overflow parking areas will be opened for most weekends (Friday through to Sunday) as well as holidays and special events (basically any day that is busier than normal). The overflow lots include Team Disney, the Casting Center and SunTrust. There will be electronic directional signage placed along Buena Vista Drive to direct guests to these overflow parking areas.

Shuttle busses will run from 5:00pm to 3:00am to each of the overflow areas, and will run from Team Disney along to Cirque du Soleil on the West Side of Downtown Disney.
