Upcoming refurbishment at DisneyQuest
Sep 10th 2013 at 8:36The DisneyQuest lobby area is about to undergo an extensive refurbishment. The lobby will be closed from September 16, 2013 and will reopen on November 19, 2013. A two month refurbishment window gives them a lot of time to complete some large refurbishment projects on an area that hasn't seen any major work for a long time.
DisneyQuest has long been seen as a wasted opportunity for Disney, with many of the attractions inside never really being updated, and the entire place feeling noticeably run down and stale. This is the first major refurbishment in a long time, and may pave the way to some more significant changes. With the Disney Springs project now in full swing, it would make complete sense to redevelop DisneyQuest into a much larger, and exciting place to visit once Disney Springs officially opens in 2016.
