All Disney Resorts to be part of the final MyMagic+ test soon

Nov 29th 2013 at 9:10

With the new 'NextGen' MyMagic+ system seemingly completed, Disney will be rolling out MyMagic+ to all resorts soon.

From reservations for April 1, 2014 onwards, and new resort reservations being made, MyMagic+ will be enabled. This means that if you've booked your Disney vacation and will be arriving after April 1, 2014 - you'll be using MyMagic+, complete with MagicBand wristbands and FastPass+. The same will apply to any reservations made from this point forward.

Disney has been 'stress testing' the MyMagic+ system, which is heavily reliant on powerful servers. So far the tests across resorts have been very positive, which should mean that the system is finally ready to officially go live.

We expect by this time next year, MyMagic+ will be standard across all resorts for all guests, and the Key to the World cards will have been completely discontinued.
