Camp Minnie-Mickey expected to close Jan 5, 2014

WDWMagic notes the previously confirmed news that Festival of the Lion King's last performance is on January 5, 2014. Which raises an interesting question - Will the rest of Camp Minnie-Mickey be closing at the same time?

After Festival of the Lion King closes, there's really not a whole lot left in Camp Minnie-Mickey to warrant keeping it open. The Donald Duck meet and greet is expected to be relocated to DinoLand U.S.A. from January 6, 2014. King Loui and Balloo will move over to the Asia boat dock. All that remains is to find a home for Chip and Dale and Pocahontas.

Based on recent character locations, it'll be likely that Chip and Dale will join Donald Duck in DinoLand U.S.A. Pocahontus is a bit of a strange one, with no obvious place to go as the characters origins don't really fit into any of the lands around the park. Perhaps a new meet and greet location will be opened on either Discovery Island or near the Oasis park entrance area.

Based on the evidence, it would seem that Camp Minnie-Mickey will be closing within the first 2 weeks of the new year, which means Avatarland groundwork can finally begin.
