Emergency repairs at Epcot - Suspected sink hole caused by water main bursting

Yesterday emergency work began without notice in Epcot's Futureworld, where construction workers appear to be fixing a major issue under the walkway near Club Cool.

The emergency repair work is apparently for a broken water main, which in turn has caused a sinkhole to appear. Sinkholes aren't an uncommon occurrance in around Walt Disney World and other areas of Florida, and Epcot itself has had it's own fair number of sink holes over the years. The water main was damaged when construction workers were removing the Butterfly Garden Structure. Other reports suggest that the damage may have been done prior to this, and the removal of the Flower and Garden Festival decor caused additional damage. 

It's unknown how long the repairs will take, however our sources expect the walkway to remain closed for at least the remainder of this week, and likely part of next week.
