Easter at Walt Disney World

April 8, 2012 is Easter Sunday, and there are a number of Easter themed activities at Walt Disney World. Take a look at our guide below to see what you can get up to!

Theme Park Easter Activities

Mr & Mrs Bunny Meet and Greet
From 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Easter Sunday, you can meet Mr and Mrs Bunny at the Magic Kingdom Tour Guide Gardens. A Magic Kingdom ticket is required, and a Disney PhotoPass photographer will be present.

The Azalea Trail Maids will appear at the Magic Kingdom at 2:45 pm, before the  A Dream Come True Parade at 3:00 pm on Easter Sunday.

Easter Cupcakes at Hollywood Studios
From April 6 - April 17, speciality pineapple-coconut Easter cupcakes will be for sale at Staring Rolls Cafe, Backlot Express, Pizza Planet, ABC Commissary and Studio Catering Co. They will be priced $4.99 each and are exclusive to Hollywood Studios.

Epcot Easter Games - At the United Kingdom pavilion Mr and Mrs Bunny will host an Easter Egg hunt for kids aged 3-9 and an Easter Egg Relay for kids aged 8-12. These will be running from 11:00 am to 3:40 pm.

Innoventions Easter Games - At the Innoventions East Garden another Easter Egg Hunt will be running in addition to other Easter themed fun and games from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Easter Dining at Walt Disney World

Five Disney restaurants will be offering an easter meal as part of their regular menu on Easter Sunday, they are:

  • Cape May Cafe - Easter Dinner (Adults: $42.59 | Children (aged 3-9): $20.12)
    • A carving station, salads, barbecued pork ribs, masted potatoes, beef tips, corn on the cob, crab legs, vegetable pasta, clans and Cape May's signature Oreo Bon Bons.
  • Captain's Grille - Easter Brunch (Awaiting pricing)
    • Offering a range of traditional breakfast items such as Mickey waffles, French toast, eggs benedict, fruit as well as a selection of lunch items such as carved top sirloin, clam chowder, shrimp, green beans and salads. A selection of deserts will be offered.
  • Garden Grove - Easter Dinner Buffet (Adults: $41.49 | Children (aged 3-9): $19.12)
    • A range of appetizers including soups and salads, in addition to a variety of entrees such as Orange glassed ham, seafood pasta, chicken, peppered New York strip steak and a range of deserts. Disney Characters will be present during the dining experience from 5:00 - 10:30 pm (Note: you will need to call the Swan & Dolphin dining reservations line at 407-934-1603 to book).
  • The Wave - Easter Brunch (Awaiting pricing)
    • A selection of traditional breakfast and lunch items such as grits, sausages, cereals, pastries, scrambled egg, an omelet station and marinated chicken with pineapple rice.

Easter Service

An Easter religious service will be held at the Fantasia Ballroom in the Contemporary Resort. This will be on the morning of Sunday April 8, 2012. The service schedule is as follows:

  • Catholic Mass : 8:00 am and again at 10:15 am
  • Protestant Service : 9:00 am

Disney highly recommend that you use Disney Transport as the Contemporary, Grand Floridian and Polynesian resort parking lots will have restrictions in place to prevent non-hotel guests parking there.
