The All Star Music Resort is, as you would expect, focused on music. Each building is themed around Music with giant top hats and musical notes located throughout the resort. Like all the All Star resorts, All Star Music is a budget resort, but despite this, still offers a heck of a lot more than you'd get at any non-Disney budget resort.
There are five themes around the resort; Country, Broadway, Jazz, Rock and Calypso. Depending on which building you are staying in, your room will be styled to match one of these themes.
Rooms at the All Star Music resort generally feature two double beds. Some rooms have a king sized bed, however these are usually reserved for handicapped guests as they have a larger bathroom with a wheelchair accessible shower instead of a tub.
Each room generally has the following amenities:
The family suite rooms include a kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, sink and coffeemaker. They also have two full bathrooms with separate vanities.
The resort has two pools. The main pool is the Calypso Pool and is located in-between the Calypso themed buildings. The pool features The Three Caballeros shooting water from an island in the middle. A small kiddie pool is located next to the main pool
The second pool is the Piano Pool is much smaller and is located near the Country and Broadway buildings.
Neither pool has a hot tub. Both of the pools have a depth of between 3ft and 5ft. As an All Star Movies guest, you are free to go to any of the other All-Star resorts to use their pools.
As with most Disney pools, there are showers, lockers and restrooms in each pool area.
The pools are open from 8am - Midnight with a lifeguard present between 10am and 10pm.
Note that you will need to bring your towels from your room - if you need additional towels you can call housekeeping from your room phone (free) and they will bring them to your room for you.
Melody Hall contains an arcade with state of the art video games. It is open from 7am to 1am and uses a token system to use the arcade attractions. Guests can purchase tokens in the arcade. Some arcade games provide rewards in the form of tickets which can be redeemed for prizes.
There is also a children's playground located on site.
The All Star Resorts generally share transport. You will be provided with a complete transportation map when you check in which gives you instructions on how to get to all the different areas on Disney property. To get to the different areas you'll just need to make sure you board the right bus. They display their destination clearly on top, however if you are unsure you can always ask the driver or a cast member.
The Disney bus transportation system is one of the easiest ways of getting around. Busses depart from the resort to all the parks regularly and are completely free to use at any time. The bus services generally stop running once the parks close, and tend to run for an hour either side of the park hours. During extra magic hours they will run slightly longer.
The resort doesn't have a table-service restaurant, however it does have a large counter-service food court, the Intermission Food Court, which offers a bright and spacious dining area and a huge selection of foods, each split into their individually themed stations.
Some of the items offered include pizzas, rotisserie chicken, pasta, barbecued ribs, sandwiches, salads, baked goods, fruit and more. Take a look at our detailed menu for the Intermission Food Court for a run down of whats offered.
