Primeval Whirl is located in DinoLand U.S.A. and is part of Chester and Hester's Dino-Rama, a carnival themed area. Primeval Whirl itsself is a wild-mouse style roller coaster. It actually has two rides that are mirror images of each other. On busy days, both rides run to help speed up the queue. You board a rather cosy round ride car with a lap-bar restraint. The ride cars are able to spin, however you have no control over their spinning motion and they can, and will suddenly stop without warning. It's a very jolty, bumpy ride which chucks you about a lot.
The coaster is lightly themed with colorful Dinosaur items and has signs up saying 'Back in time" and "Way back in time" as you climb the chain-lift hill. It's supposed to be relating to the DINOSAUR ride located near by.
A little known fact is that the ride is actually an 'off the shelf' ride, with a few themed bits added on. The exact same ride is used in parks and carnivals all over the world as a cheap alternative to a full coaster.
