Ellen's Energy Adventure at the Universe of Energy stars Ellen DeGeneres and Bill Nye (the science guy), who take you on a tour back in time to see the Dinosaurs to learn all about energy.

The ride features a very unique ride system where guests sit in what appears to be a theatre, but is in fact six 97-passenger ride cars. These huge cars split off and go around the ride area where you'll see audio-animatronic dinosaurs whilst Bill teaches Ellen about energy. The film work with Ellen and Bill is very upbeat and humorous.

The ride has a fairly long pre-show area with Ellen appearing on 'Jeopardy!' against her college rival 'Smart Judy' (portrayed by Jamie Lee Curtis). All the Jeopardy categories are about Energy, which Ellen knows nothing about. So Bill Nye offers to show her all about how energy works and where it comes from. At this point, guests enter the theatre area.

At the end of the ride, Ellen returns to the set of Jeopardy and lets just say, does better than she did first time round!

This is a very long attraction, however is worth doing at least once. The ride itself is very cool and a great way to get out of the heat and crowds. The show holds around 600 people, so the wait times are rarely high.

Ellen's Energy Adventure Ride Tips

Small children may find the darkness of the ride a bit scary, however the ride is in no way intended to be scary.

The ride is powered mostly by the 2 acres of solar panels located on the roof of the building!
