Disney aren't hanging around with the new Disney Springs project. Construction is set to start this week, wit the preliminary construction walls set to go up at Pleasure Island.
As art of the schedule, Laffer's Cantina (pictured) will be closing at the end of May 5th 2013, and construction walls will go up the next day. This is the bar located next to what used to be the Comedy Warehouse.
All dates are subject to change, however this does show good signs that Disney are committed to getting the Disney Springs project running. The project is a complete redevelopment of Downtown Disney, doubling the number of shops and restaurants, and bringing a new theme to the popular shopping district. The Disney Springs project was confirmed last month, with ambitious redevelopment plans.
