Last piece of track for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train has been laid
Jun 6th 2013 at 6:47The last piece of track for the upcoming Fantasyland attraction was put into place yesterday at the Magic Kingdom.
The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is due to open in 2014, and will be themed around the classic Disney film, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". The completion of the track is a significant milestone, showing that the ride is indeed on target to open on time. Remaining work will likely include ride configuration and related electronics, and theming/scenery. It's likely that animatronics will play a large part in this attraction, and are expected to operate in a similar way to those found in "Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid", taking classic Disney 2D characters and creating Pixar-style 3D animatronics.
