As part of the Disney Springs construction project, Comedy Warehouse on the former Pleasure Island area of Downtown Disney is currently being demolished.
This is the first major demolition work to start, showing that the construction is now in full swing. The Comedy Warehouse has been reduced to rubble, and will likely not waste time on the other buildings along the former Pleasure Island area which are now all closed, with the exception of Paradiso 37.
As always we'll post any Disney Springs related updates as we hear about them.
CFNews13 were able to take a rather good helicopter shot of the demolition works:
The Comedy Warehouse was one of Pleasure Islands original nightclubs, and opened in 1989. It was closed in September 2008 before Disney announced the failed Hyperion Wharf project.
It's expected that construction on new buildings for Disney Springs could start as early as next month.
