We've been reporting extensively on the Downtown Disney / Disney Springs construction project over the last couple of weeks, as Disney seem to really be pushing ahead to get the project off the ground.
A new map for Downtown Disney has been released this week, and it now shows even more empty grass space on Pleasure Island than before. Take a look at the comparison below:
As you can see above, the lower portion of the island is now empty, confirming that a large part of it is being demolished. It's expected that later in the year, another map will be released as more of Pleasure Island is removed.
Another change on the map is the removal of Parking Lots H-K. This is for the multi-story parking garages, and the new bus terminal area:
Despite the large reduction in parking, guests will still be able to find ample places to park as Disney have provisioned a number of temporary car parks around Downtown Disney, with free shuttle busses.
