FastPass+ and MyMagic+ testing in August

Jul 29th 2013 at 4:32

Additional tests for the new 'nextgen' FastPass+ and MyMagic+ systems will be taking place later this week. From August 2 2013, additional resorts will join the trial, which will allow resort guests to take advantage of all of the MyMagic+ features.

Guest Relations will be providing help to guests on the MyMagic+ trial, and there will be MyMagic+ specialists at certain attractions. A special MyMagic+ service center is also being made operational at each park to help guests.

As part of the trial, the self-service "FastPass+" system will be active, with kiosks in each park providing a central location for guests to get a FastPass. Each guest taking part in the MyMagic+ trial get three FastPass+ options at one park per day.

Several attractions have been added to the FastPass+ system for this next round of testing. So far we have the following attractions confirmed:

Magic Kingdom

  • Ariel's Grotto
  • "it's a small world"
  • Mad Tea Party
  • Magic Carpet's of Aladdin
  • Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor
  • Tomorrowland Speedway
  • Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade (Fri & Sat only)
  • Main Street Electrical Parade (Fri & Sat only)
  • Wishes (Fri & Sat Only)

No word yet on what (if any) additional attractions from other parks will be added.

We've also heard from several sources over the last few days that tests will carry on through the rest of the year, and slowly more hotels will be added to each test. This is likely being done to avoid overloading the new system. MyMagic+ wont be rolled out completely until it has been 'load tested' with lots of guests. Interestingly we've also seen the same story popping up online on several WDW communities and news sites, confirming multiple internal sources have leaked the same information.
