Rapid Fill drinks towers now fitted
Aug 12th 2013 at 9:26We reported last month that Disney were going to be converting all drinks towers inside the resorts, to use a new system called 'Rapid Fill'. The idea behind it is that every guest staying at a resort can purchase a mug (or get one with their Disney Dining Plan) and refill from the towers at both their home resort, and other resorts.
We can now confirm that Disney have completed the retrofit to each drinks tower, meaning they now support the NFC chip embedded into the mugs, and are ready to use. We expect the new system to go live by the end of September at the latest, once staff training has been completed.
