Yesterday evening a small fire broke out in a storage room at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, prompting an evacuation of the resort.
Reedy Creek Fire and Rescue were called around 6:45pm last night and confirmed that a minor fire had broken out, possibly from an improperly stored paint can in a storage area. They did not confirm any injuries or damage.
The hotel was then given a safety inspection and guests were allowed back in around 8:00pm. Whilst the fire was minor, guests and Reedy Creek Fire and Rescue reported that the fire caused a significant amount of smoke.
