Polynesian Resort's Sunset Pointe to close soon for DVC Villa construction

Sep 26th 2013 at 9:09

Sunset Pointe at Disney's Polynesian Resort is expected to close soon as part of the construction work for the new Disney Vacation Club Villas. This news comes from multiple online sources, as well as our own independent resort sources.

The small palm-fringed area looks over the Seven Seas Lagoon and is often seen being used for wedding photographs at sunset. Weddings can even be held at the popular spot.

The new Disney Vacation Club Villas at the Polynesian Resort will be constructed close too (and possibly in place of) Sunset Pointe, no formal plans have been released, so its not yet known if Sunset Pointe will re-open once the work is complete, or if a new location will be constructed instead.

We'll be monitoring all aspects of the new DVC Villas at the Polynesian Resort, so be sure to check back regularly.
