Grand Floridian Resort gets new RFID lock's

As part of Disney's 'NextGen' system upgrades, the newest hotel to be fitted with a new RFID based rood-lock system is Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. The new locks are being fitted throughout September. Guests have been advised that the new locks on the room doors will allow them to gain entry by just touching their 'Key to the World' card on the door lock, replacing the need to place the card into a slot.
