Disney's Magical Express testing a new pickup location at Downtown Disney

Orlando Park News reports that from August 1 to 31, 2013 guests using Disney's Magical Express bus shuttle service can opt to have Downtown Disney as their pickup location rather than at their Disney resort.

To be eligible for the pickup, guests should be staying at Disney's Port Orleans resort, and have either a domestic flight between 3:00pm and midnight, or an international flight between 4:00pm and 1:00am. This will mean guests can spend more time doing a bit of last minute shopping, or even at a near by theme park instead of having to be back and their home resort ready to get on the bus.

The busses will pick up near Pleasure Island, close to the Raglan Road Pub and Restaurant, near the taxi area. Guests must arrive at the pickup point at least 15 minutes before departure. The motorcoach will still likely make a few stops at other resorts along the way.

If the test is successful, it may result in minor changes to the new Disney Springs parking lot and taxi areas, to accommodate Magical Express motorcoaches.
