Weekend traffic update - Road closures & parking changes at Downtown Disney

During this weekends Festival of the Masters at Downtown Disney, there are a number of parking and road changes. It's also going to be the Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend at the same time, so the roads at the Walt Disney World Resort and surrounding areas are expected to get fairly congested. 

Here's what we know so far:

Downtown Disney Overflow Parking

The new overflow parking lot will be open for Downtown Disney. This is located at the nearby Team Disney, Casting and SunTrust parking lots. Full directions will be provided. There will be regular shuttle busses from Friday November 8, 2013 to each of the overflow parking lots. The Typhoon Lagoon car park may also be used if it is needed, with a shuttle service to Downtown Disney (Note: Typhoon Lagoon is currently closed for its annual refurbishment, so the car park is empty and can be used for Downtown Disney guests if needed).

Dedicated Bus Lane added to Buena Vista Drive

On November 9, a dedicated bus lane will be open on the right lane (westbound) on Buena Vista Drive. This is only available to Disney busses, and will span from Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, along to Downtown Disney Entrance 1. This will be in effect until 1:00am on November 10, 2013.

If you're visiting Downtown Disney and are staying at a Disney resort, we recommend using the shuttle bus service. If however you do wish to visit by car, there will be Disney transport cast members around the parking areas to help direct you.
