Instead of an evening firework show, Hollywood Studios has Fantasmic!, a live action show featuring Mickey Mouse. It's set on an island overlooked by the 6,900-seat Hollywood Hills Amphitheater. It's Disney largest theater seating area, and has room for an additional 3000 guests standing.

The show's star, Mickey Mouse takes center stage as the Sorcerer's Apprentice from Fantasia and re-enacts a dream sequence. The shoe features the use of lasers and water fountains, where images of animated disney characters are projected onto the mist. It's just not possible to describe how awesome this show is.

The show features many of the Disney Villains, such as Cruella de Vil (from 101 Dalmatians), Captain Hook (from Peter Pan) and Ursula (from The Little Mermaid), who plot to take over Mickey Mouse's dream sequence. But it's Mickey's dream, and his show!

This show is designed for people of all ages. Some young kids may be a little scared when they see the Disney Villains on the huge projection screens, but try and make them stick it out - the good always wins in a Disney show, and the bad guys always get their comeuppance!

We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes before the show starts. The loading is fairly quick, however when you come to leave, you'll want to hang back 5 minutes to let the crowd die down. There's no point rushing for the exit as you'll be stuck waiting for a Disney Bus, or queueing to get out of the car park.
